Neuropsychology Technician

Dr. Megan Marsh has an immediate opening for a neuropsychology technician in her well-established private practice.
​Dr. Marsh is a licensed clinical psychologist and pediatric neuropsychologist.  She primarily sees children, adolescents, and young adults for comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations.  Patients are typically self-referred (by a parent) or by a doctor, teacher, school psychologist, or other professional for a variety of reasons.  ​​
Dr. Marsh works with children with a wide variety of challenges and abilities, including those who are demonstrating difficulty learning in the classroom, who have a history of medical or neurological problems, developmental delay, or brain injury.  For example, patients are often evaluated for learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, neurological or genetic disorders , as well as depression and anxiety.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Administer neuropsychological tests, psychological tests, educational tests, and questionnaires under the direct supervision of a licensed psychologist (Dr. Marsh)
  • Conduct and report detailed behavioral observations
  • Score test protocols in accordance to manual or software-based instructions
  • Enter data into data summary reports and prepare data for written report
  • Manage individual patient’s file, ensuring all intake paperwork, parent questionnaires, teacher questionnaires, and relevant records have been received
  • Prepare and maintain testing materials and supplies

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field; Master’s degree or Master’s level coursework is preferred.
  • Applicants must have supervised pediatric neuropsychological testing experience.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of testing instruments, scoring/administration, and translation of scores.

PAY/BENEFITS

  • Time Commitment: This is a part-time position, requiring approximately 8-12 hours, one to two days per week. 
  • Location:  Office locations are available in both South Windsor and Avon, Connecticut.  Both locations offer beautifully furnished, modern office space. 
  • Support:  The office is supported by a virtual assistant who handles new inquiries and scheduling of appointments.  The office also utilizes an electronic health record (EHR) for scheduling and clinical documentation.
