Our Story…
Dr. Megan Marsh established her private practice in South Windsor over twelve years ago with a focus on pediatric neuropsychological assessment. Over the years, she has become a well-respected specialist in the area, eventually expanding west of the river with a satellite office in Avon. Additionally, Dr. Marsh also offers individual therapy to children and teens, though there are currently too many referrals to take on. The local community’s need for reliable, approachable, and high-quality mental health services continues to grow. As a result, our practice has been expanding in new and exciting ways to meet the needs of our community. We have launched a very successful Mindfulness + Movement Group Therapy program for children and teens. In the future, we would like to continue this offering, as well as additional wellness workshops and services (Mindfulness + Music, Teen Yoga, Women’s Yoga Therapy are all in creative mode right now!). We have an amazing team, including a Graduate Student Extern, as well as independently practicing colleagues in our beautiful, modern office suite who love to collaborate with one another. Our future vision is to continue offering top notch neuropsychological and psychological services, as well as complementary educational services to children, teens, young adults, and their families.
Are you the one?
We are looking for a creative, passionate, down-to-earth yet professional psychologist who specializes in working with children, teens, and their families. Our greatest need is providing individual and family therapy services, though the position may also include clinical assessment, therapy across the lifespan, group therapy, or other therapeutic offerings. Applicants must have an active license in good standing with the Connecticut Department of Public Health as a Licensed Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.). Our typical referral is often a child or teen who is struggling with emotional regulation, is having trouble managing anxiety, or is having difficulty in school (academically, behaviorally, socially). We also receive referrals for more specific treatments, including those designed to treat a variety of Anxiety Disorders, OCD, Selective Mutism, Tic Disorders/Tourette’s, Somatic Symptom Disorders, among others. If you have a particular niche or area of expertise that you would like to bring to the practice, we eagerly welcome it.
The Nitty Gritty…
This is an Independent Contractor (IC) position, which offers flexibility and autonomy regarding caseload and hours. Because we are looking for the right fit for our practice, we are considering applicants who are looking for either part-time or full-time hours. Services will primarily be provided in the South Windsor office, though the opportunity for some work in the Avon office are a possibility. Telehealth services are also an option for our clients. Lastly, our group therapy offerings are currently held at a local family farm in South Windsor.
